Meet Deanna
Deanna’s passion comes from her own experiences of lightening first her home and then herself of excess weight, dreary layers, and harmful toxins. She now brings the tools she uses, including a career as a professional researcher, to share, teach and assist others in doing the same.
For three and a half years, Deanna has been enjoying the many benefits of a “living foods” lifestyle of fresh, raw, ripe, organic vegetarian foods, including amazing energy, vitality and nutrition.
Deanna has trained with Karen Knowler, Europe’s leading raw foods coach and teacher, and completed her Raw Food Teacher Training Course. In addition to teaching classes, Deanna hosts monthly organic raw food potlucks in order to build a support network for anyone striving towards healthier eating.
In 2007, Deanna was diagnosed with Multiple Chemical Senstivities (MCS) triggered by office renovations. She left her career with national historic sites due to toxic work spaces and is now pursuing certification as a Building Biology Practitioner with the International Institute of Bau-Biologie and Ecology.
Deanna also works with the Praxis School of Entrepreneurship, facilitating and coaching budding entrepreneurs to make the big leap into business through the Self Employment Program.
She lives in Saskatoon, Canada with her husband and her dogs in their seemingly perpetually-renovated bungalow. Kundalini yoga, photography, goofing off by the river, and volunteering for the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra are some of the activities on her “to do” list that actually get checked off.
